Backes & Müller are probably the best-known manufacturers of active loudspeaker systems in Germany.

Their history dates back to 1975, and a great deal has changed since then.

We stock only their top designs, i.e. the regulated models dating from 1986(the beginning of V-FET technology) to 2008(the processor generation). We have also been refurbishing these models for more than 20 years. Please ask for an estimate for a repair or a complete overhaul.

We do not consider the older models (1975-85) to be reliable, and their sound is no longer state of the art. We also do not believe that the sound produced by the models from the digital era (2009 onwards) has anything in common with that produced by the fully regulated models or the original BM philosophy.
